What an interesting web! I especially liked the mine shaft info, thrilling to sit here at my keyboard and peer into the shafts Must be snakes down in there huh?

I'm a bench tech too with 20 years experience in consumer goods and play with the casino stuff when I can, my state is illegal to gamble, but often wondered what it would be like to work for a casino. I liked the part about your holding the chassis with that shorted FBT.

A shock is a shock, but I bet that was a friggin JOLT. Did you break a sweat with that jolt? lol You know the rule keep one hand in your pocket. Do you have any info on a IGT RGB monitor for an old KENO game?

On the main pcb there is a small T039 trans marked 103YY that I cant cross, any ideas? Looks like the 12v runs right into it from the supply. I know, do the caps first in the monitor) I'm also in need of an old poker PCB for a small upright cabinet made by CAL OMEGA, if I cant find the pcb or one that fits, I'd like to convert the harness to a newer cherry game.

Seen your post on Slot-techs.com Nice website, very organized! I was wondering if you ever came across a Bally Pro with a "Twenty Grand" kit in it. I'm trying to install it on my Bally Pro, but keep getting a error code of "91FF".

I believe it's looking for a wheel on the top? Maybe I could make one, I just need to find out what motor it uses, and where it plugs in at on the CPU.

ITS NICE TO KNOW THERE ARE OTHER E-TECHS THAT R WILLING TO SHARE INFORMATION. GREAT JOB ON THE WEB SIGHT. I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT WANT TO ADD THIS IN YOUR POWER SUPPLY SECTION FOR THE JCM.
I HAVE FOUND QUITE A FEW OF THE POWER SUPPLIES WORKING WITH THE CAP REPLACEMENT BUT 1 HAVE ALSO ADDED THE K1445 AS A REGULAR REPLACEMENT. IF THIS TRANSISTOR IS WEAK OR SHORTED THE POWER SUPPLY OUTPUT WILL SHOW ALL THE WAY UP TO 12.18VDC BUT WHEN A LOAD IS PUT ON THE POWER SUPPLY THERE IS A VOLTAGE DROP QUICKLY TESTED UNDER INPUT TEST ON PE PLUS THE BV SHOULD LIGHT UP THANKS AGAIN

As a veteran slot technician myself, I found your website very accurate. I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with other techs.

Sincerely,

Billy Boykin

As I read through your web site, which is very good I might add. I noticed in your links column that you didn't have anything on these bill heads, we have been repairing these

and found on the (IVO) that the coil breaks on a lead causing lose of power so we re-solder the lead. On the (IDS) we see a lot of blue sensor failures, these sensors apply to both bill heads.

Great site, I have used your fixes for myself. Thank you. Sentence two and three have a misspelled word in each. I don't like being critical because my spelling is atrocious. Again as for your site, it's great.
Correction have been made & Thank you Hog
There may be more misspelled words, Will work on Correcting them

Hi,
I was surfing the net and came across your
website....it's great!  Keep up the great work.

I noticed that Kevin Noble had contributed some
efforts here.  I was nicely surprised to see his name
pop up again....I had tried some years ago to hire
this guy!  What an awesome tech, and a great guy to
boot!  (I hope it's the same one....it MUST be).

Cheers,
Shaun

Greetings

I was surfing the web looking for specs on what I assume is an Eprom from a JCM bill head and came across your site.

I'll have to say you have tons of information and I can appreciate the time and effort you've devoted to your site.

I am not a slot tech nor do I have a machine. I live 5 minutes from Atlantic City and sometimes I come across some parts, mainly glass, that I sell on Ebay.

I was looking for the specs on the following chip:

JCM American
WBA-13-SS
Id 0c3 USA
v 2.03.-07 (665C)

Great site man. Your notes are extremely helpful as we are starting our own monitor repairs here. I do have a couple of questions though. Do you have any Ceronix 1793 boards that you have worked on, and will you be updating your monitor repair section anytime soon?

I've been to your site on a few occasions and find it to be helpful in not only assisting with a problem I might have, but to get a feel for what it's like to be in a REAL tech shop.

Unfortunately many of us are limited in what we can do because of the availability (or lack of) the proper testing equipment and as a result are limited to the old "swapping" technique in our troubleshooting.

Thanks for a great site and keep up the good work!

ever since I found this site I let the other guys at work know about it. one of the things I want to mention is that a few of us started to get pocket pc's aka pda's but in the windows format. I have found this makes it easer then carrying tons of notes written down on paper. with enough mem.. you can store full manuals and I do have em. when you need the info it is right there on the pocket pc you got to love em.

thanks allot for making a great site.
thanks again
