All duplicated EPROM’s / Flash Chips are verified prior to being installed in the slot machines. When verifying an EPROM’s / Flash Chips from an existing machine, an EPROM comparator is used which compares the checksum amount from the master against the checksum amount of the EPROM’s / Flash Chips being tested.

Any errors noted are immediately communicated to the Slot Tech Supervisor. If an error exists on an EPROM’s / Flash Chips purchased from a manufacture, The EPROM’s / Flash Chips will be sent back to the manufacture for resolution. If an error exists on an EPROM’s / Flash Chips duplicated by a Slot Technician, the duplicate will be destroyed and the Master will be examined for errors and possibly sent back to the manufacture. A new EPROM’s / Flash Chips will be duplicated from the master and installed in the slot machine as previously described.

EPROM’s / Flash Chips removed from slot machines are locked in the same cabinet as the masters EPROM’s / Flash Chips. Upon the need to reuse these EPROM’s / Flash Chips the key to the cabinet is obtained from the cage as previously described.

The EPROM are placed into an EPROM eraser and erased. Once erased, the EPROM is placed into an EPROM comparator to verify erasure. Should the EPROM not be erased, the procedure is repeated one time. After two attempts, if the EPROM is not properly erased, it is destroyed in the manner previously described. Once verified as erased, the blank EPROM’s are ready to be reused as previously described.

When duplication storage media other then game program EPROM’s, procedures identical to those previously described are utilized.
