DBV (CODE 97)

Code 97 is Bill Validator abnormal status. This code comes up Bill Validator and or 8800 Bill & RS422 PCB broken. If you have in stock Bill Validator and or 8800 Bill & RS422 PCB, you should try to change these first. After change BV and or PCB but srill comes code 97, temporary solutions are turn off BV setting DIP-SW on 8800-A2MK main PCB. After change DIP-SW setting, you have to do main PCB's RAM clear. Please see following DiP-SW Setting and RAM Clear procedures, 2. DIP SW2 (8800-A2MK) 1-4

Remarks

If you change setup DIP switch 2 #1 through #4 you must clear Ram

 otherwise software can not change status.

setting for no Bill Validator, DIP-SW 2 (4 pole) 1 to 3 ALL OFF.

All Clear Procedure

Turn off power Press holds ALL CLEAR, switch (white small switch) located on 8800-A2MK PCB near the main CPU. Turn On power, press hold at least 5 second all clear switch.
